The Performing Musicians Employers' Association of Nigeria (PMAN), Bayelsa State C hapter, has congratulated the Bayelsa State Government ably led by His Excellency Sen. Douye Diri on the upcoming Bayelsa @ 30 Anniversary Celebrations, calls for inclusion in the planning and organizing of the event and compliance with  2026 PMAN Bayelsa State Executive Order on Use of Music in Public places. The PMAN Bayelsa State Chapter Governor Comrade Tuebi Sapere-Obi also called on the organizers of the official Bayelsa @ 30 Music Concert to fully involve the recognized body of musicians in the planning and execution of the event. Reports reaching the media department of Rural People's Assembly Inc. news desk this Monday 14th of Sept. 2026 has it that there is an on-going attempt to cover up the investigation reports of the criminal allegations regarding the recovery of the RAV4 mini jeep belonging to one Mr. Abidde Daniel, a businessman residing in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State which was reported missing in February, 2026.  According to Mr. Abidde Daniel Oyinkuro, he gave the car to a dealer whom he had bought the vehicle from, whom he identified as Mr. Collins in January 2026, with a view to reselling the vehicle with hope of buying another one.  He said, a few days later Mr. Collins reported that the car was stolen at his residence on 23rd February 2026 when he moved it there for safe keeping till a buyer is found. Mr. Collins and Mr. Abidde reported the incident to the police and the police promised to conduct a thorough investigation. Months passed, but the police didn't come up with any clues...

HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF PMAN BAYELSA STATE CHAPTER DURING THE COURTESY VISIT TO TRADE UNION CONGRESS (TUC), BAYELSA STATE CHAPTER. The meeting started after an Opening Prayer was taken. A brief introduction of members present was done from both sides. The TUC Chariman Opened the discussion by welcoming the PMAN delegation and reflecting on the letter seeking the courtesy visit and asked that the PMAN delegation to unveil their mission and objectives. The Niger Delta Beyond Oil International Conference (NDBOIC) 2026 project has secured the support of the Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce Industries Mines and Agriculture (PHCCIMA) over the hosting of the conference at Federal University Otuoke, Bayelsa State. This development took place during the official Courtesy Visit to the management of PHCCIMA by the Planning Committee of the maiden edition of the conference. The NDBOIC 2026 project planning committee delegation which was led by Prof. John Kalama, the Chairman of the Planning Committee and his team met with the President of PHCCIMA and her management at their office at Waterlines House, Port Harcourt Rivers State on Tuesday 20th January, 2026 to solicit for collaboration, partnership and support to actualize the successful hosting of the event as scheduled. As part of events marking the new year the IzonFest Development Foundation inc. held her 2026 CANOE RACE EXHIBITION at the waterfront of King Abraham Farms (KAF), Igbogene-Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.  The event which took place on the 1st of January 2026 saw enthusiastic participants competing for prizes and consolation rewards in a very keenly contested competition. The prizes which were set as 1st Prize - 15,000, 2nd Prize - 10,000 and 3rd Prize - 5000, with popular Niger Delta cuisine Bole (Roasted plantain), Roasted Fish and Fresh Palmwine as consolation prizes. The races were divided into three categories such as SINGLE DASH RACE, DOUBLE DASH RACE AND DOUBLE OBSTACLE COURSE RACE regulated with timer stop watches by the judges and referees, with support from the linesmen, with the participants with the lowest time record emerging the winners. As part of activities marking the June, 2025 Congress of the Performing Musicians Employers' Association of Nigeria (PMAN) Bayelsa State Chapter, the Governor,  Comr Tuebi Sapere-Obi aka OldBoss on thursday 12 June, 2025 at the union's Congress meeting which held at TEOET Island Resort Okutukutu appointed 5 out of the 8 LGA Coordinators.  While handing over to them their appointment letter, the PMAN Governor also told them  his vision is to take the PMAN conversation down to the grassroots which is the most important areas if we must get it right. Comr Fasinte, an elder and a former Governor of the chapter also gave them a word of charge stressing the need of love and all inclusiveness in their dealings.
