BAYELSA STATE MINISTRY OF TOURISM AND CULTURE PARTNERS IZON PEACE FESTIVAL 2021 PLANNING COMMITTEE TO MARK WORLD TOURISM DAY 2021



The Bayelsa State Ministry of Culture and Tourism through the office of the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism is set to partner with the Izon Peace Festival project to deliver a remarkable celebration of World Tourism Day 2021 via a collaboration that would see both organizations holding a common brief of festivities to mark the global tourism event. 
The organization during a courtesy call to the Ministry saw the secretary of the planning committee, Barr. Aniso, O. Abraham and his counter parts appraise the Commissioner, Permanent Secretary and DG tourism on their plans for the Ijaw Nation through the peace festival and what the future it holds in the attaining of global recognition as an autonomous nation with its own unique civilization of arts, sports and creativity. 
Responding to the proposal, the Honourable Commissioner, Hon. Iti Orugbani lauded the Organizations Novel presentation and promised to create the necessary enabling environment for the event to be held successfully in the state. The Commissioner, who was visibly delighted to be part of the event, stated that World Tourism Day 2021 would mark a new milestone in Tourism Development in Bayelsa State under the prosperity government, because the government is for sustainable prosperous projects.
Also reacting to the proposal, the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Tourism said she would encourage young Bayelsans to continue to bring in such brilliant initiatives to support the course for a great Ijaw Nation. The ministry encouraged the organisers to keep up the good work and make Bayelsa State proud this World Tourism day.
