MAN ABANDONS THREE CHILDREN OF ABOUT 9, 6 AND 4 YEARS IN GUEST HOUSE IN YENAGOA

A man identified as Mr. Chinedu Amaobi has disappeared from a guest house in Yenagoa, abandoning his three children in the lodge where he lodged for about 7 days.
According to the owner of the guest house, Mr. Chinedu had lodged with his 3 children after he arrived in a tricycle sometime around 29th of March, 2025. According to the management of the guest house, the man usual leaves his children in the room during the day and goes out as a commercial tricycle operator and returns with food and other supplies in the evenings for the first four days. He also sends the daily rental through his oldest daughter of about nine (9) years to the counter clerk to renew the rent.
According to the hotel management, trouble started when the rent was not renewed on the fifth day but the children were still seen around without their father. On further enquiry, the management stated that they found from the 9 years old daughter that the father has not returned the entire day, so the children had slept in hunger the previous night.
Finding the situation unusual, the guest house management decided to dig deeper by asking the children of their mother and the circumstances leading to their father's decision to lodge them in a hotel, instead of taking them home. The were told that the mother has run away because of hardship and constant fighting between the man and the wife.
They also reveal that they have been living from guest house to guest house in the last couple of months as their house rent has expired and the father cannot afford to pay a house for their stay or provide for their welfare in any other way. Finding the story hard to believe the management of the guest house decided to cater for the children temporarily and lookout for the man, but after four days, it was obvious that the man wasn't coming, so they had to report the matter to the police at A division. After an unsuccessful investigation into the whereabout of the man and the circumstances leading to the disappearance of the man, leaving his kids behind, the case was transfered to the state CID department of the Nigeria Police Force, Yenagoa where the gender unit led by Mrs Grace Richman who is doing everything within their power to provide succour to the children and trace the whereabout of the father, mother or any other member of the extended family.

We therefore using this medium to call on members of the public who may have useful information about this couple or their families to come forward and assist the police to help reconcile the children with their parents and unravel the mystery behind their disappearance after abandoning their beautiful kids.
