GREAT WATERSIDE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION ELECTS NEW EXECUTIVE COUNCIL
The Great Waterside Community Development Association has today 8th January, 2023 elected a new leadership to pilot the affairs of association for the next one year.
The event which took place at the temporary secretariate of the organization was conducted by Mr. Aniso Abraham as electoral committee chairman and saw the emergence the following persons as members of the new executive council to pilot the affairs of the organization to greater heights;
The following Persons where the victor of today's election.
1. Isaiah Ayaogbo Chairman,
2. Emeka Osuji vice Chairman,
3 Abeki secretary,
4. Peter PRO.
5 PREYE MARVELLOUS Woman leader,
6, Ekweme CSO.
7. Alamene Treasurer.
with only the offices of the Speaker & Provost pending kept pending.
At the close of the election and declaration of winners, the Chairman of the electoral committee after announcing the winners adjourned the meeting to Sunday 15th January, 2023 for the inauguration ceremony, which will consist of the hand over of mantle of leadership from the out-going executive to the new leadership.
The Chairman in his delivery of the appreciation message thanked those present for their commitment and support for his emergence as the winner of the election. He also thanked his counterpart Mr. Perry Apeli for his comraderie and promised to run an all inclusive government for the betterment of all. He declared that the election was without a Victor or vanquish, as he promised to work with everyone for the success of the association.
In his response, Mr. Perry Apeli commended the newly elected chairman and other elected members of the council for their success at the polls and stated that although he did not succeed in the election, he was still willing to work with the incoming administration to see that it succeeds in its quest to provide the necessary leadership that will take the organization to the next level.
Speaking to the Rural Peoples' NewsWatch correspondence Christie, who covered the event, the members expressed confidence in the electoral process and acknowledged that the organization has been given a new opportunity to bring in fresh ideas for development.
